Also know as William, but that’s another story.  I think my passion for gardening began on a vacation with my mother and sister when we visited my cousins on their farm.  As a young boy, who to that point had only lived in the city, I was fascinated by the difference in lifestyle.  Then as a teenager I had the opportunity to live with them for a few seasons, planting, harvesting, and preserving most of what we ate.  It was a lot of work but I loved it.

Fast forward many years, I’ve lived in the city most of my adult life and the idea of growing at least any significant percentage of our food had long since faded.  That all changed one day though when I stumbled across an article on square foot gardening.  That single article, changed my entire concept of growing fruits and vegetables and I was immediately and forever hooked on gardening in small spaces.
